I’ve been trying to work around this one for a while with a lot of help from (thanks again!)Īpparently no add-on is allowed to mount your disk devices unless explicitly stating that in the config.json file of the add-on. The second one is not being able to mount your USB disk devices.

Now how to find it and command Hassio to use it. Since that is shutdown in the night, i thought an attached usb would be a good starter. It's also great for setting up basals.Strangest thing, I can see the usb drive in the dmesg command, but when i hassio host hardware, no Usb is displayed?ĭo i need to activate it first somehow? id like the logs and db to be written to the usb, or decide to write them to my NAs. I've found PAL quite handy-it's great if your pump is replaced, as you can upload all the settings to the replacement pump easily and quickly.
MM was equally adamant that the PAL features will NEVER be included in the Carelink program for a number of reasons that I won't list here, for brevity's sake.Īll in all, I'm not happy with MM's decision to throw the PAL software features under the bus. MM was emphatic that decision will not change.Ģ. No upgrades will be made to make it work on Vista, OR to make it function with the Carelink USB device. PAL no longer ships with pumps and is obsolete.
On a somewhat related issue.PAL software:ġ. I didn't even ask if Carelink USB will work with Firefox. That caveat doesn't pertain to running IE7 on XP.
Tech support told me that's definitely an issue with installing the drivers on Vista, IE7. If you use Vista, be sure IE7 is in "Protected Mode:OFF"- that shows up at the right side of the status line, which you may need to turn on from the View menu. I also got the USB device to work on a different XP machine, without incident.Īll I can say is keep your fingers crossed that it works on YOUR computer. I did manage to get the USB device to work with 2 Vista machines, despite last night's fruitless call to MM tech support which was being manned by untrained tech support personnel who told me to call back today after 6 AM.ģ. The tech person said he would pass on the info re the failure, but for me NOT to expect a resolution soon, if at all. Despite a lengthy call to tech support today, my XP desktop machine won't load the drivers for the new USB device and MM is at a loss to understand why.
